Heroes
Yes, heros. Why certain heros are used and others not. In this thread I have been looking at Jora, Koss and Norgu (basically the Warrior heros). Yeah, they're OK, but no-one seeems to use them much. Anyone wanna bother to tell me why people don't use them often now?
Thx.

my biggest reason is for not using warrior heros that much if you need a warrior hero devona and talon do as well as any hero that i've ever made so i use them instead as for using certain type the ai does a wonderful job on mming so not taking one would be a shame unless there isnt many corpses in the area. also depends on what i'm bringing. if i bring my ele i like to bring ele to compliment my ele. if i bring ranger i bring a paragon mm and ranger or assassin depending on the area.

The warrior heroes all run pretty simply. An IAS, maybe "for great justice", some form of deepwound, and some decent attacks. I personally include distracting blow, lions comfort and plague touch. Not much complex about it.

^agreed to all above.
On the subject of Norgu, however, its probably just the prejudice against mesmers which means he (and Gwen) don't get used.
I use Gwen all the time as either an interupter or an Ineptitude/Clumsiness/interupt hybrid melee hater, she simply removes the thread of high level caster enemies, such as some end of dungeon bosses in GWEN.

No, when it comes to Norgu, it's because it's Norgu. Gwen isn't a rather puffy middleaged bloke in skintight clothing. Gwen sees a lot more play than than Norgu. Connect the dots.

True, Gwen in alternate armours, hot. Norgu in alternate armours, well, is it just me or does he seem to get bigger around the middle with each set? Guess as he gets wealthier from his cut of the adventuring spoils, he spends more on both armour AND food
I've been using Gwen as a dual attune air spiker/blindbot though. Pretty old school build that's been around forever. Though I'm testing that new air cracked armour skill. Shellshock? Whatever it's called, it seems quite useful against heavy armour guys, though does next to nothing to squishies. If I need interrupting I take Jin as a BHA/savage/distracting. Could also take zho as an alternative, she's not bad. Wish she had onyx with her

Craked armor won't drop AR below 60 so you're correct... it does nothing to squishies. Fortunately there are plenty of high armored melee monsters out there that it does mess with.
Personally I'm fond of Well of Ruin if you want cracked armor. You could try running some of the GWEN skills that go along with cracked armor like Body Blow and Distracting Strike. To be honest, I'd rather have other stuff on the bar and just be happy with -20 AR on whatever high AR targets are fighting in the well.

Out of 4 characters, only one isn't melee, so because of this I end up using Koss instead of a monk. He does his job well. I've also used Koss on my primary character to help with some 4 man Shing Jea vanquishing, although I've stopped doing HM at 10/33 for the moment...I have my eyes set on other goals for now.
It all really depends on your playing style and character class.

Yeah, sometimes I get in caster-unfriendly emvironments, and then a fully outfitted koss with runes makes a HUGE difference.
